Join The Wittliff for a conversation with author, filmmaker and Grammy-winning music producer Tamara Saviano about her latest book, “Poets and Dreamers: My Life In Americana Music.” Hosted by The Center for Texas Music History and The Wittliff Collections, Saviano will share stories from a distinguished career as a Texas and Nashville music industry insider. Expect lively insights into her time as first woman president of the Americana Music Association, her acclaimed book and documentary “Without Getting Killed or Caught” and her close friendships with iconic singer-songwriters and musicians, most notably Guy Clark and Kris Kristofferson.  Professor Emeritus Dr. Gary Hartman, founding director of the Center for Texas Music History at Texas State University will lead the interview.  Special musical guest Brennen Leigh opens the program. Her latest album is “Don’t You Ever Give Up On Love.”
