In Harmony: Celebrating Music in Photography

August 28, 2017 — July 22, 2018

From Selena to Willie, from small-town streets to the grandest stage, The Wittliff celebrates music with our current exhibition — In Harmony: Celebrating Music in Photography.

Drawn exclusively from The Wittliff’s permanent collection, the more than 90 works displayed span musical styles from Tejano and conjunto to blues and zydeco, and include portraits of Texas songwriters, scenes of mariachi and marching bands, Mexican street musicians and dancing.

Unique to this exhibit are photographs of music performances at The Ritz in Austin, Texas, paired with the original promotional posters created by Jim Franklin.
