Stocks and Bonds

Donating appreciated securities, including stocks or bonds, is an easy and tax-effective way for you to make a gift to The Wittliff Collections at Texas State University.

Endowment Gifts

Perhaps the most enduring investment in higher education, endowments create both an immediate and continuing impact.  An endowment is a permanent fund that generates ongoing income to support a specific purpose. The principal gift that establishes an endowment is always preserved, with only the investment income distributed annually to support the fund’s purpose. Endowments can be named for you or in someone else’s honor or memory. The minimum endowment size is $25,000 and can be paid over five years. Funding priorities for The Wittliff include, but are not limited to, acquisition funds, endowed positions, research fellowships, internships, and funds for general unrestricted support.

Real Estate

Donating appreciated real estate, such as a home, vacation property, undeveloped land, farmland, ranch, or commercial property can make a great gift to The Wittliff Collections at Texas State University.

A Gift in Your Will

A charitable bequest through your will is a deferred gift made to Texas State University. It enables you to support The Wittliff Collections without reducing your current assets.

Gift and Estate Planning

You can create a legacy for future generations and make an impact today. There are a number of planned giving strategies that can provide important tax benefits while supporting The Wittliff Collections.

Tribute Gifts

You can designate any gift in memory of a loved one or to recognize the accomplishments of a friend, colleague, or family member.

Matching Gifts

You can double or triple the impact of your gift if your (or your spouse’s) employer participates in a Corporate Matching Gift program. Contact your human resources or personnel office to obtain a matching gift form and send it with your contribution.

Texas Research Incentive Program (TRIP) Match

Gifts of $100,000 or more paid in a single installment may be eligible for a matching grants program through the state’s Texas Research Incentive Program (TRIP).
