The Bryan Woolley Collections details the life and career of Lowell Bryan Woolley as a journalist, editorialist, minister, novelist, and travel writer consisting of materials dated 1955-2006. The collection contains VHS tapes, cassette tapes, and eight-track tapes of numerous interviews conducted by Bryan Woolley, many of which pertain to his award winning travel piece, “Where Texas Meets the Sea.” In addition, the collection houses numerous drafts and manuscripts of Woolley’s novels and short stories including, Sam Bass, Some Sweet Day, Generations and Other True Stories, Time and Place, We Be Here When the Morning Comes, The Bride Wore Crimson and Other Stories, November 22, Spizeringktum, and “Where Texas Meets the Sea.” In addition, the collection houses Woolley’s poems, both draft and published versions, and contains correspondence between Bryan Woolley and his wife, poet Isabel Nathaniel, dated 1973-1983, which details their relationship and careers as writers.
