Tesoros: Treasures of Mexican Photography

TEMPORARILY CLOSED until Jan 20, 2026

Tesoros Gallery installation

Bill and Sally Wittliff established the Southwestern & Mexican Photography Collection in 1996. It is a stunning collection of more than 30,000 documentary images
revealing the people, customs and culture of Mexico.

These photographic treasures inspired the name of the new Tesoros gallery.

Our current exhibition is a tribute to Rodrigo Moya (1934-2025), one of the great documentary photographers of Mexico.

This exhibit was curated by Kaitlin Arocho, B.F.A. Photography ’26, Texas State University.
