In his new book The Beating Heart of the World, Steven L. Davis tells the fascinating true story of how Taos Pueblo’s Indigenous people recruited members of the famous Taos art colony to help spark a movement for Native justice that reshaped the nation.

In The Best Stories From Texas, W.F. Strong has brought together a collection of his most-requested “Stories from Texas” including the earthy wisdom of common Texas folk; highlights from Texas art, literature, and film; and anecdotes drawn from the out-of-the-way corners of Lone Star lore.
